▪ “In my opinion, these data suggest that the Air Supply technology used in the AS150MM unit will remove airborne allergens (including animal danders, dust mite allergens and moulds) thereby reducing exposures in sensitized individuals. This reduction in allergen exposure should be reflected by a corresponding improvement in symptoms and a reduction in the need for treatment”.
o Dr. Gabor Lantos, MD, P. Eng, MBA
o Dr. Lantos is an Occupational Health Physician and Consultant to many of Toronto’s teaching hospitals, and is on the Editorial Board of Hospital Employee Health. Dr. Lantos has been involved with the containment of the recent SARS outbreaks and has made both private and public submissions to the Ontario Commission to Investigate the Introduction and Spread of SARS in Ontario.
▪ “It is my professional opinion, both as a professional engineer and as an occupational physician, that both the room-size and the neck-worn air purifier can be of significant benefit in mitigating the risks from SARS, as well as from other common airborne pathogens such as the “common cold” corona viruses, tuberculosis, and Influenza A & B.“
o Dr. Sergey Grinshpun – Professor of Environmental Health, Director, Center for Health-Related Aerosol Studies at the University of Cincinnati.
o Dr. Grinshpun is a world authority on respiratory protection and was instrumental in writing the 18 peer reviewed and published papers on our protective technologies. He is keynote speaker at Government symposia such as The EPA (U.S. equivalent of The Environment Agency) and The CDC in Atlanta.
▪ Human transmissible Avian Influenza has not been seen yet it is difficult to make a vaccine against it. However Dr. Grinshpun of the University of Cincinnati Centre for Health Related Aerosol studies suggests that “for the size range tested the aerosol particles can be shielded against by electrostatic fields that the Mini-Mate AS150MM produces about a wearer’s mouth nose and eyes…the entry points for the Virus.”
My name is Dr Jonathon Berstein I am an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati and a Board Certified Allergist / Clinical Immunologist who recently opened the “One Stop Allergy Shop”. I feel that the Mini-Mate is an excellent device that can benefit individuals who are susceptible to viral and bacterial infections and chemical exposures that can trigger symptoms.
My name is Soram Singh Khalsa, MD I am a diplomat and on the American Board of Internal Medicine, I am also past Chairman of the Steering Committee at Cedars-Sinai for their Department of Complimentary Medicine. Over the years I have quite a few of my environmentally sensitive patients rave about your Mini-Mate, Recently I had occasion to take an around-the-world tour and used it successfully myself. I would very much like to be able to recommend your unit to my patients and have it available for them to use.
I am Judy Newlands, I am cabin manager for BNE (an Australian airline). I use the Mini-Mate on the A320 only, as this is the aircraft we have a lot of problems on.On many occasions where we had mild oil fumes through the cabin and I found the Mini-Mate worked well. Normally I would suffer a headache, burning throat, dizziness and on some occasions nausea. Since using Mini-Mate I did not experience any of these symptoms. It is particularly useful after long flights. Since using Mini-Mate I feel fine not suffering from exhaustion as I used to.
In summary: Mini-Mate certainly improves our personal air quality and we would like to see it used further in our industry.
My name is George Handgis, I live in Kailua-Kona, HI, USA
Having been diagnosed with Asthma, Emphsyema and COPD air travel has, in the past, been very difficult for me. Invariably, if I was seated in row 2B and someone in 34E coughed I would end up with a respiratory ailment or a bad cold at best. Purchasing my first Mini-Mate was one of the best decisions I ever made and has proved to be beneficial to my health.
I am Nancy Snyder I live in Pleasant Ridge, Minnesota. For the past 6-7 years my asthma situation has become worse and worse. I began finding my world shrinking more and more. I found I could not go out and enjoy activities. Many things I simply quit doing, and others I continued to do but suffered. Eventually I found that I could no longer do things like attend county fairs, movies, eating out and even visiting friends because of their dogs and dust. Fortunately since the purchase of your Mini-Mate my life has expanded again and I can now do the things my asthma had originally restricted. Please accept my congratulations on your business success and my gratitude for the difference you have made in my life.
